Gorgeous cottage set on spectacular escarpment of the Sunshine coast hinterland. Extremely comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen, bathroom and living room. Convenient location for exploring the area or for just curling up on the lounge watching the weather roll in. Host was very helpful on arrival. Highly recommended.

We spent several months here, while house hunting and it was great. Everything you need was available, and the owners were very, very helpful. It is quiet, convenient to all the towns on the range and the view is spectacular.

3 night stay in January 2026. Have just finished a 3 month trip through South East Asia and Australia with my husband and 11 year old. My husband voted this his top AirBnb of the trip where he would have most liked to spend a month. Perfect place to recharge, simple, clean and a spectacular view. We didn't know anything about the area; we were looking for a place to stay that was convenient to our Australia Zoo 2 day experience - perfect location for the 18 min drive to Australia Zoo for my son's zookeeper for a day ticket. If I get a comfortable bed, great shower pressure and working wifi then it is always 5 stars but lots of extras to add here...Especially loved: Australian Netflix already on tv - we watched Miss Fisher mysteries that we can't get on USA/UK Netflix Laundry - as longterm travelers we really appreciated this! Location - searched for elusive platypus in Maleny (didn't see), walked through Mary Cairncross Reserve looking for pademelons (did see), did the Everglades tour in Noosa (easy drive) Great Fans - loved having the option of AC and/or proper fans. Heat had subsided when we arrived and so much more comfortable to turn off AC and use the fans instead. View - watched a rain storm roll in from the ocean. Spectacular! Thanks Gareth & Kyla - you found a wonderful place!

The location gave access to so many places to visit and explore. The cottage had the most beautiful views and was so well equipped. It can get warm upstairs in the loft, so the fan in one od the bedrooms was handy.

We had a wonderful stay at the Maleny cottages. The setting is peaceful and the view from the back garden is spectacular. The cottage itself was spotless, cosy, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. A special mention goes to Gareth and Kyla, whose warmth and friendliness made the experience even better. They were welcoming from the moment we arrived. We left feeling refreshed and very well looked after. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Maleny area.

The views were amazing and location was beautiful however there was no ocean.. The facilities inside the cottage were really good value for money..inlived the fact that it had the little extras like sauces, glad wraps and the things you wouldn't normally get in a apartment/cottage.. There was nothing we didn't like about our stay

We had the most wonderful stay at Maleny Montville Cottages! The cottage was cozy, spotless, and perfectly set in such a peaceful location with absolutely stunning views. From the moment we arrived, Gareth and his family made us feel so welcome. The setting is perfect for a relaxing escape, surrounded by nature, yet close enough to explore Maleny and Montville. We’ll definitely be back next year. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway and breathtaking scenery.

The views were stunning and everything was clean and tidy and a perfect area with shops and cafes located close by! Being still quite cool, the house could do with some more rugs/mats. Lucky I had brought slippers to keep my feet from being cold on the tiles.

We had such a lovely stay in Maleny! The place was very recenly renovated, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Kyla and Gareth were really lovely, accomodating, and gave us some great advice on what to do locally which made our stay even more special. The view was beautiful. A perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. Highly recommend!
